Collect trash from the alley ways. Talk to NPC's to find if someone is looking for something. If they are and you have an item to sell them, they'll give you an offer. Every night you need at least $10 to get food and water to survive. Once it hits 10pm (22:00) you have to go to the end of your starting alley to go back to sleep.
